Automated Mist Control System
The KUMA Automated Mist Control System is an integrated group of equipment that
shares a Pump Control Center. The elements of the Automated Mist Control System
are as follows:
Pump Control Center (PCC)
The PCC is a large, trailer-mounted, electric, high-pressure pump system with variable frequency drive (VFD) controls, pressure transducers and heat sensors to manage the flow of water to the misting pumps.
Remote Control Center (RCC)
The RCC is the point of control for the directed mist guns. High pressure water flows from the PCC to the RCC where
remote controlled valves send odor control solution or water to the various mist guns and SprayBots positioned throughout the site.
SprayBot
Each SprayBot is a fixed location, high-pressure spray device mounted on a four wheeled wagon. Two to four spray guns are attached to each SprayBot, which can be adjusted both horizontally and vertically for targeted spray, and will be remotely operated using a hand-held remote control.
Distribution System
This is a network of high pressure hoses, valves, and pressure regulators that connect the Automated Mist Control
System components together.
The Automated Mist Control System will be fed by the PCC, which will supply the high-pressure water (mixed with odor or dust control agents as needed) and automatically vary the liquid volume to meet usage demand. The PCC will directly supply the mist lines and the RCC, with liquid provided to the SprayBots by the RCC. SprayBots will each be connected to the RCC and positioned throughout the site in reasonably close proximity to the earth moving operations. KUMA’s Technicians or Crew Leader will trigger the SprayBot using a hand held remote control.
